About Us

Safe Call Up is a documentation platform built for people in Australia navigating coercive control. It exists because the pattern of abuse is almost never legible in a single incident — it becomes visible only when incidents accumulate, held together by dates, details, and the weight of repetition. We built a place to hold that accumulation: quietly, privately, on your own terms, and in a form that can speak when you are ready.

Evidence is only useful when the person who needs it can reach it.

Most people living with coercive control know, at some level, that what is happening to them is real. What they often lack is a record — something outside their own memory, beyond reach of the person who is rewriting it. Safe Call Up is built from the conviction that access to your own account of events is a matter of safety, not a legal technicality.

Physical violence is the eruption. Coercive control is the slow burn that lights the fuse.
Kristy Gallagher Founder & CEO

Kristy Gallagher has spent over a decade working at the frontline of domestic and family violence, child protection, and family safety. Her work has focused on identifying coercive control, assessing risk, and understanding the impact of abuse on children.

As an independent consultant, she advises legal professionals on coercive control, risk escalation, parenting capacity, and the system gaps that leave women and children unsafe. That work — structured, impartial, grounded in operational experience — taught her what survivors needed and were not being given: a way to safely document the pattern, not just the incident.

Safe Call Up is built from that.

What guides the work.

Most people experiencing coercive control are doubted before they're heard. We start from the opposite assumption. What you've noticed is real, the pattern is recognisable, and you are the most reliable narrator of your own life.
